I’ve been trying to get pregnant for over one year.  After a successful pregnancy, I never questioned if I was fertile or not. As I am young, and in relatively good health, or so I thought
 
My naturopath had me keep a journal of everything that I ate & drank, all the cosmetics I put on, and where I was getting my water from for one week.
 
She examined my journal and shook her head. She said “No wonder you can’t get pregnant, your body is full of stimulants & chemicals” I looked

Reason 6: Stress
 
I worked in high stress, fast paced environment. I worked 10-12 hours a day and then went home to my family. Playing and having fun was not apart of my lifestyle. When our bodies have high stress levels, you have high cortisol and low progesterone (hormone needed to maintain pregnancy)

  1. Diet: I have adopted a flexible vegan lifestyle, with exceptions. Meat.  I mostly eat 65% raw veggies & low sugar fruits.  I’ve cut out dairy & gluten.   2. Sleep- to naturally increase female fertility my Naturopath instructed me to go to bed by 10pm and sleep until 7am in order to give my adrenal glands a chance to restore. It was odd at firs but  now I love the extra sleep.

  3.  Exercise: every night my family takes a 20 -30 min walk and it’s great. We are all miserably out of shape so this has been a welcomed change. Plus I started using  Bend & Breathe Yoga DVD. It’s amazing how relaxed & strong I feel after doing Yoga.
