Post Menopause Surgical Menopause/Hysterectomy A
hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus often times women
also get an oophorectomy or ovariectomy which is the removal
of the ovaries.
For women, ovaries produce most of our hormones including
estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Undergoing a hysterectomy
is essentially the same as castrating a man. Which is especially true for women that have had a total
hysterectomy, which included the removal of her ovaries. Woman
that have undergone a partial hysterectomy and still have
their ovaries in, their bodies generally tend to continue
to produce hormones for about 1-3 years after their surgery.
If you had a hysterectomy and an oophorectomy your physician
probably put you on hormone
replacement therapy. As an attempt to prevent the uncomfortable
physical side effects of a hysterectomy: such as night sweats,
vaginal dryness, hot flashes,
depression, mood swings, decreased
sex drive and more.
Often times after a hysterectomy a woman’s testosterone
and DHEA levels will drop by half
of what is normal. Which can lead to hair loss, decreased
sex drive and loss of libido.
A woman’s progesterone levels
will drop to zero because her ovaries (which makes progesterone)
have been removed.
Many women are placed on HRT and because of the huge health
risk recently discovered about hrt therapies many women are
stopping their therapies cold turkey! Leaving women suffering
from common menopause symptoms.
Whether you are currently on hrt or looking at using bioidentical
hormone therapy it is never a good idea to stop any medication
without consulting your physician.
Bioidentical hormones such
as phyto-estrogen cream Estro-All
and /or a natural testosterone precursor
therapy can be helpful in restoring your hormone imbalance and increase your libido.
Post Menopausal Women that are post menopausal usually are in their late
fifties to early sixties some have been on hrt such as PremPro,
Premarin, Estrin-D, Avlimil for years. And because of the
recent HRT scare women are looking natural ways to rebalance
their hormone levels.
We always recommend women getting their hormone
levels tested tested before beginning any type of therapy,
natural or synthetic. Because every woman is different, there
is no one treatment for every woman. However, most women benefit
from natural progesterone cream, a bioidentical hormone while
other women get relief from the hot flashes and night sweats
with Estro-All, a phytoestrogen
cream .
If you are suffering from vaginal dryness vaginal
dryness or pain during intercourse we recommend Estro-All
cream and vaginal moisturizing cream. If you need something to increase your libido or low or no sex drive and avlimil and other personal lubricants are not working then we would suggest, Fempower a natural female libido enhancer.
It would also be
beneficial for you to test your DHEA and testosterone hormone levels in addition to your progesterone
and estradioll levels.
Bioidentical hormones are
much safer than synthetics and can safely and naturally restore
your balance. Products we recommend.
